I've driven by this restaurant so many times and tried it for the first time tonight. It was jam packed with only what looked like two employees working as host, waiter and bartender. But let me tell you, that did not impede such great service. Juan was our server and he was excellent. Inside is gorgeous traditional decorations and there was ample space between tables. We started off with a coronarita for two and boy it was strong! We got a nachos grande for the table. It didn't come with any beef or chicken like described but even without the meat it was delicious! I ordered the carne tampiquena and it was cooked to perfection. It came with a plate of rice, guac, homemade tortillas, beans and a cheese enchilada!!!! The steak was perfectly seasoned and when I asked for rare, boy did they serve! I even added a pic of how they cooked it just to show they definitely care for their customers. My boyfriend has steak fajitas and he loved it. We were really impressed and were happy the restaurant was packed. We can't wait to come back again!!!

Food was fresh and tasted delicious. We did not plan to stop here but I am glad wwe did.

Our friends have recommended El sueño several times, indicating that they've had a great meal every time they've been there. Well, it was our turn to have a great meal, and El sueño did not disappoint! We knew were in for a great meal when the waiter brought us salsa that was difficult to stop eating. The guacamole that we ordered to start was very tasty and incredibly fresh. I had the seafood Mariscada. It included a delicious assortment of seafood in a mildly spicy chipotle sauce. Excellent! We also had the chimichangas with ground beef that were wonderful and accompanied by a side of guacamole and pico de gallo. Pico the Gallo had a terrific lime flavor that we loved. Overall a great experience. We will be back!

Had a nice quick lunch at El Sueno today. The owner Joel--a Mexico native-- was seated next to me at bar and we chatted for over an hour while I had my Enchilada plate, which was fresh and tasty. Friendly staff too. Joel is an interesting, nice, and smart gentleman who runs a wonderful restaurant (also has another restaurant in Oakdale called Viva La Vida). This is the type of ownership and restaurant that you want to support. Food delicious. I will be returning to El Sueno with my family. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious!!!! We were in the area and wanted tacos. Happened to find this place and I'm so happy we stopped in. It was quiet for a Saturday afternoon but that was fine. The service was great, very attentive. We were given salsa and chips to start. Then we ordered a tapas special of the day, I honestly don't remember what it was called but it was delicious and spicy. Then we had our main dishes and they did not disappoint. We wanted dessert but were too full. I hope to come back soon and try some drinks and other entrees.

Such a nice relaxing and unbelievably tasty meal. We found this place by chance and couldn't be happier with the outcome. The fresh Guacamole was amazing. We had 2 margaritas, regular and Clementine. The short rib was so tender and delicious. Carne asada, tacos and enchiladas with mole sauce really hit the spot. Fresh chips and salsa too. I'm willing to travel to come back here. Owner and staff are attentive and very friendly. What more could anyone ask for. Can't wait to go back again.

What an incredible find!!!! This restaurant has the very best Mexican food. The restaurant is veryclean and has the best Mexican food on all of Long Island. This is NOT an exaggeration. I have been here three times in one month. If it was closer I would be here several times a week. Food is fresh and made with great care. We have been here with friends that were very impressed. The drinks are delicious. I came here to try their empanadas. I wanted to order empanadas for a catered event and tried four restaurants throughout Huntington. Not one restaurant came close to the quality of el Seueno's. The service is excellent. Waitstaff is knowledgeable and caring.

We were in search of Mexican food for dinner tonight and one person in our group had mentioned El Sueño had been recommended to him. We decided to give it a whirl and we are so thankful we did! We started with drinks (of course!) two regular margaritas and one vamperita. Everyone was very satisfied and the drinks were delightfully strong! On the food front we started with nachos and they were delish! For mains, I had the rice and beans tacos and there was nothing left on my plate! One in our party had a taco salad, another had paella, another had chimichangas and one had the ceviche. Everyone was very pleased with their mains. The ceviche was the big winner! The restaurant is clean/feels new and the staff is attentive without being too much. Water glasses always full, which is great! The owner came over and chatted with us at the end of the evening and brought us shots. It was a great end to a great dining experience!

Incredible spot, the Hidden Gem of Huntington. Ordered three tacos: chorizo, al pastor, and carne asada. Chorizo and al pastor were incredible. The chorizo had a smoky flavor to it that was ripe with flavor, al pastor was savory and contrasts perfectly with the pineapple. The carne asada's was a little disappointing, the steak was chewy and overcooked. And it came with both an immaculate green/red sauce plus bag of chips and likes on the side. If they can fix the taco carne asada recipe, this would be great. Will check out again.
